Dholan Majra is a small village located near the city of Morinda, in the Ropar District (Rupnagar) of East Punjab, India. The village was established in the late 19th century. == History == The village was established by Sikhs, but settled by other groups, particularly the Bassi clan of Jatt Sikh farmers. In the early 20th century, the population numbered roughly 50 people. The first village chief, Chuhhar Singh Bassi, was considered a respected person in the British district of Ambala. The villagers were mainly engaged in agriculture, but by the mid-1950s, settlers from the western part of Punjab, displaced by the Partition of India, caused the population to expand. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Dholan Majra」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
